An Account of My Attempt to Quit Smoking
Published on September 27, 2004 By herozero In Misc
Okay granted, this is no big conquest, but I haven't had a cigarette since about midnight last night. It's 4:00PM right now. Sure, that's no where near long enough to consider myself quit. I haven't even broken my previous record yet. BUT, considering that it has been about 16 hours since I last took a drag off of one of those little wonder sticks, AND that I'm still in a decent mood, is fairly miraculous. And I owe it all to my good buddy, the PATCH!! These things are better than Microsoft Security Patches! I mean, granted, I'm not saying that this has been an EASY day. Oh no, all day I've stumbled around feeling as though I've forgotten to do something, and I have NO idea what to do to occupy my 15 minute breaks at work (thank God for this BLOG). BUT, for the most part, considering how long it's been, I don't feel bad at all. I almost feel like I'm cheating by using these things! But hey, if they make this transition easier, then I'm not going to complain. I just hope things are still as cool when I go to Step 2 of the patches in a few weeks.

Yeah, excercising is definitely on the list of things to do to avoid cravings, but I didn't figure it would look too good if my manager were to walk up as I'm doing crunches in the floor of my cube at work, so Blogging was one of my best options. That and looking at groovy stuff on the web that I intend to buy with the money I'm now saving. But anyway thanks for support!! It is greatly appreciated!!
